The Farm

"This is the general concept for a science fiction novel that I'm presently working on. I got the idea from observing my children's interactions with their own children. My thoughts were, "what if there were a place that families can go to learn to communicate with their odd-ball, troublesome family members with potential future behaviour issues. Hope you like it. "There is a place we call The Farm, it's not just a farm... Well, it IS a farm, it's just not like any ordinary or regular farm that you would see. 

There is something peculiar about this Farm however. The farm animals are tended to, well-fed and well-kept by the resident farmers. 

This is where the peculiarities come in. Let me explain.

Before I get into describing these peculiar residents, let me tell you about The Farm.

The Farm is located in a previously undisclosed location and only the most elite citizens had access to it. 

Their clause WAS "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, who's income level does not reach the minimum threshold amounts." Now it's, " All are Welcomed, During times of need."

The Farm was built from the ground up and much resembles a mansion or a highly energetic and employee/family oriented and extremely welcoming corporation or even a really spoofed-up hotel-resort, rather than an usual farm.

 The difference is in the farmers... They all have one thing in common, troubled lives, for example, juvenile delinquents or youths experiencing major social issues, or at-risk children, teens, their siblings and other family members fed-up with unwanted behaviour issues. 

Much like you or me...

Their families are pretty much at their wits end in tolerating out-of-control behaviours by black-sheep family members disruptive behaviour habits.

The Farm is The Place where these family's go, to "re-connect" with each other and their odd-ball family members At the same time, (connect with), all of the farm animals, learn how to care for them, and how to care for and depend on each other, where Better Teamwork is the goal.

Upon arrival to The Farm, family's are  assigned keys to their rooms-quarters. Inside are all of the amenities that anyone can think of. I'll go further into that a little later on. 

All questions and concerns are usually thoroughly answered or addressed beforehand so that visitors, members or farmers are ready for what lies ahead. Which is a 7 days of farm work, counseling and a whole bunch of FUN.

The Administration consists of 17 department sections that include;

•Agricultural Department, 

•Counseling Department, 

•Educational Department

•Medical Department. 

All Departments are fully staffed. All staff members are professional with a minimum of 10 consecutive years experience in their particular fields. Which qualifies them for their particular assigned positions. All having a particular interest in the successful experiences while staying at The Farm and it's residents leaving with a brand new appreciation of farm animals, the maintenance of a farm, and a brand new appreciation of family and life itself, in general.
